What is tallow?
Tallow is just melted down fat. There are two different types: trim fat tallow which is made from fat from anywhere on the animal and suet fat which is from around the kidney and liver. Trim fat is fantastic for cooking but we would never recommend using it as skincare. Suet is ideal for skincare.
What makes CGP Tallow different?
CGP only uses regeneratively raised grass-fed AND grass-finished suet. This means that our tallow is free from the toxins you would find in most fats. We only use suet, never trim fat, to ensure that the tallow is going to be able to be absorbed into your skin and provide all of the amazing fatty acids and vitamins to your skin. We also only render once to maintain as many of the vitamins and nutrients as possible.
Where do you source your ingredients?
All of our suet comes from a local regenerative farm right here in Oklahoma. The oils and herbs that we use are from a 3rd party tested organic source and some of the herbs we even grow ourselves! Our goal is to also use the best quality products.

Our tallow is handmade in small batches to ensure the quality that everyone loves. We never outsource our tallow.
